FAQ

Listed below are some of the most frequently asked questions. All of the questions are broken down into categories for easier navigation.

Tutorial related questions

Question: Will there be 2D tutorials?

Answer:

Yes, there will occasionally be 2D game tutorials.

I plan to primarily focus on 3D games, because that is what I have the most experience with, but there will be the occasional 2D tutorial as well.

Question: Will there be mobile tutorials?

Answer:

Yes, though likely they will be infrequent as I do not have ready access to a Mac computer. I will focus on iOS, as I (currently) do not have a Android development device.

Question: How often will tutorials come out?

Answer:

It really depends on what I have going at the time, whether I’m working on a new tutorial series, and the complexities of the tutorials in the works.

The plan is to get at least one tutorial, or tutorial part if there is a tutorial series in the works, out every month.

I cannot say for sure how this will work out until I’ve tried it, but that’s the plan!

Question: Will you make video tutorials?

Answer:

If the video tutorials goal on Patreon is met.

I personally prefer written tutorials over video tutorials, but I know there are lots of people who prefer video tutorials.

I really need a quieter location and setup than I currently have before I can make quality video tutorials. If the Patreon goal is met, I can afford to rent a office and use it for video tutorials.

No. Currently I am not looking for any help or guest posts.

If/When I get to that point, I will contact people privately to ask if they want to make a quest post/tutorial.

Uncategorized questions

Question: Will you do livestreams?

Answer:

Maybe in the future. Currently I do not have a setup for live streaming, nor a powerful enough computer to both live stream and do whatever I would be doing on stream.

(Maybe a future Patreon goal after the video tutorial goal?)

If I do ever to live streams, it will likely be gaming live streams. I’d love to play the games you guys create on the live stream, as well as other open source and fun games!

Question: (Business) Sponsorships?

Answer:

Please contact me with details

Please contact me at “TwistedTwigleg@RandomMomentania.com” with the subject “Sponsorship“. Please include details on how you are planning to sponsor RandomMomentania.

I will not, and never will, take sponsorships where I am a forced/expected to lie in any way, shape, or form. I believe in being entirely honest about all material I create/use, regardless of whether I’m sponsored or not!

Thanks! I can’t wait to hear from you!
